Bangkok was just as hot as we remembered it. Had a fun drive around in a tuk tuk (apparently the fumes you inhale considerably shortens your life expectancy !), a pyscho taxi driver who was "racing" another taxi (Chris actually took hold of my hand at this point), and a tout asking Chris if he would like to see a gay show. But the biggest drama was.....a rat ran over Sally's foot, was stood on by Chris, then ran over Sally's foot again. Sally was wearing sandals and was, predictably, "a but freaked out". Unfortunately no pictures were taken of the offending rodent - who may not have been feeling all that well by the time it had been stood on and then kicked about!
After such adventures, we boarded a 5 hr coach trip to the island of Ko Chang. It's off season and so there aren't many tourists here, which is great. We're staying in a little bungalow right near the beach, and it's beautiful. The thunder and lightning everynight is unbelievably loud, but it gets pretty hot by day.
Going to hire a motocycle tomorrow to go around the Lost-like island, then we're going to head up to Angkor Wat, Cambodia. It feels like we've been away for ages, and we've completely forgotten all aout work!
